In the context of the Russian invasion under way since 24 February, the Ukrainian LPG Association (ULPGA) has informed us of an initiative of the Ukrainian Council of Ministers intended to safeguard the interests of trading partners in view of the increased risk to goods in transit under wartime conditions.
On 30 March 2022, the Ukrainian Council of Ministers adopted Resolution No. 255 on releasing the budget reserve to pay businesses compensation for cargo lost as a result of military operations where an insurer refuses to cover goods transported within the territory of Ukraine. The resolution covers goods transported both by sea and by rail. ULPGA is at your disposal for detailed questions about the new regulations.
