LPG Week 2022

LPG Week 2022 was organized under the banner Humanising Energy and was dominated by two subjects: the development of technologies for producing renewable liquefied gas, and the use of LPG in developing countries as a low-emission, affordable and safe energy carrier used for cooking, heating and in transport. This year LPG Week covered around 25 themes devoted to the role of LPG and bioLPG in meeting society's energy needs, from climate change and air quality, through digitalization and new technologies, to questions of demand and supply on world markets.

This year LPG Week consisted of:

• the World LPG Forum, the annual conference devoted to the market situation and to the trends observed on the liquefied gas market, accompanied by a trade fair - this year attended by nearly 100 exhibitors, with a strong representation of Asian companies,
• the Global Technology Conference (GTC), devoted to the newest technological solutions being implemented by companies all over the world,
• the LPG for Development Summit, a session devoted to the ways in which liquefied gas is changing everyday life in developing countries,
• Autogas Day,
• the World LPG Challenge - a competition for startups introducing innovative solutions for operators on the liquefied gas market.

The event was accompanied by the annual General Assembly of the World LPG Association.

Nearly 1,000 people took part in the conference, not counting visitors to the trade fair, with the largest delegations coming from India (around 150 people), the United States, France and Italy. Asian companies dominated the trade fair as well, but there was also a strong representation of firms from African countries - including South Africa, Nigeria and East Africa. Representatives of the Polish Liquefied Gas Organization took part in 3 LPG Week sessions:

• Andrzej Olechowski presented a case study of the support offered by the Polish liquefied gas sector to refugees from Ukraine - it will be published under the auspices of the World LPG Association in the coming weeks.
• Bartosz Kwiatkowski took part in a debate on the use of liquefied gas in humanitarian crises around the world.
• Andrzej Olechowski presented the current situation on the Polish autogas market and the film produced by Gazeo.pl devoted to the use of autogas in medical transport.

Next year in November Rome will host a joint event of the World LPG Association and Liquid Gas Europe, as LPG Week will accompany the European Liquid Gas Congress. We invite you already now!
