Farewell to Adam Kubiak

On 20 April 2022 the Polish Liquefied Gas Organization said farewell to a true legend of the LPG industry, Adam Kubiak. After four decades of work for the liquefied gas market, Adam decided to take a well-deserved retirement.
Adam Kubiak was the originator and co-founder of the Polish Liquefied Gas Organization in 1996. For two terms, in 1996-2002, he served as President of the Organization, and three times as Vice-President – in 2014-22. From the founding of the Organization in 1996 he was continuously a member of the POGP Presidium and chaired its Legal Committee. For almost three decades he was the face of the industry to the market around it.
Adam Kubiak took part in creating the legal framework of the liquefied gas market in Poland, from technical requirements through to fiscal policy toward LPG. As recently as 2021 he coordinated the legal side of the project implementing electronic Delivery Documents. For his services to the development of the economy he was decorated with, among others, the Gold Cross of Merit and the Honorary Badge for Services to the Development of the Economy of the Republic of Poland.
Adam Kubiak was also one of the originators and organizers of the industry monthly Gaz Płynny LPG and of Targi Branżowe LPG (the LPG Trade Fair).
