Industry representatives, ministers responsible for energy, media representatives and representatives of international organizations will take part in the event. After a year’s break caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, LPG Week once again offers a unique meeting platform for people connected with the LPG industry. This year the event is being held for the first time in a hybrid format that offers exceptional flexibility – if traveling to the United Arab Emirates is impossible, you can take part in LPG Week online.

This year’s program features, among others, Autogas Day, bioLPG production technologies and the use of LPG for bunkering vessels. Since the beginning of 2020, when new International Maritime Organization regulations came into force to cut the sulfur oxide content of marine fuels from 3.5% to 0.5%, maritime transport has emerged as an attractive application for LPG. Given the availability of our fuel and the simplicity of transporting and storing it – with no need for cryogenic installations – the marine fuels market has opened up widely to LPG.

Traditionally, an important part of LPG Week will be Autogas Day. Taking part in this part of the event will be representatives of the automotive industry, led by Renault and Ford, who will discuss the role of liquefied gas in decarbonizing the transport sector. Autogas industry representatives from the USA, France, Turkey, the Netherlands, Italy, Latin America and the fast-growing Indian market will discuss market trends, and a representative of Liquid Gas Europe will address technological innovation in this market.

A new item on the LPG Week agenda will be the World LPG Challenge 2021 – three startups selected from the entries submitted back in September this year will compete for victory in a contest for the best innovative solution to problems the industry has not yet solved.
