Toyota Unveils a New LPG-Electric Hybrid Taxi in Japan

Toyota has unveiled its new hybrid taxi model, the JPN Taxi . The vehicle is designed to carry children, older and disabled passengers, and tourists visiting Japan. The manufacturer has also given attention to its environmental profile. The JPN Taxi is powered by a hybrid LPG-electric drivetrain. Toyota promises fuel consumption of 19.4 km/L, which will substantially reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The company estimates sales at 1,000 units a month in Japan alone.
